A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I’m SYDNEY
My name is Sydney Miro, a 19 year-old media maker based in Springfield, MO, but born and raised in Crofton, Maryland, whose creative style revolves around all things neutral, diverse, & minimal. My main focus is portrait photography but, I also occasionally capture couples, families, weddings, & brands.

Where it started
My passion for photography blossomed while I was in high school taking a journalism course and it's stuck with me ever since! It's always been my dream to pursue a career that I fully enjoy doing, no matter what it may be, so I gave photography a shot starting in 2019 when I got my first Canon camera.

WHEN I'M NOT TAKING PICTURES
I have been a dancer my entire life and I was in competitive dance for 5 years. I'd say this was one of the biggest factors in shaping the person I am today as well as contributing to my creative side. In addition, I've been singing since as long as I can remember and was, and still am, a huge Beyonce fan.

where i am now
Since I got my first camera in 2019, I've built a portfolio of 300+ photoshoots and I went officially full time in August of 2022! I have an eye for a more modern, simplistic look and my long term goal is to hopefully shoot for editorial and fashion magazines. I currently teach hip hop classes with Motion Playlist, an urban dance company in Springfield, and sing in my free time!
